The dual lectern screen and projector setup in the lecture hall can display a variety of content, customised to the presenter’s needs and habits.

  • The Left Screen is attached directly to the Trust PC. This will always be available regardless of what source is selected or even if the system is turned on or off.
  • The Right Screen usually follows what the projector is displaying and  can change what it shows depending on the presenter’s needs. It can show:
    • A duplicate copy of the Trust PC monitor. Useful if the presenter is jumping between different devices and prefers to stick to one screen, like in a number of our seminar rooms.
    • The Extended “Second Screen” of the PC. This is good for PowerPoint presentation where the presenter wants to see show notes or access private information like emails and casenotes on one screen whilst displaying something else on the projector.
    • Any laptop, tablet or other device that’s being shown on the projector.

Switching The PC Between Duplicate and Extended Mode

  • Start by holding down the Windows (  or   ) key on the keyboard and press the letter "P" once. A menu should appear:

    • If you would like the projector and both screens to all show the same thing, select the Duplicate option either by pressing P whilst still holding down the windows key, or release both after 1 second and use the mouse to select it. The screen may go dark for a moment whilst the computer adjusts.
    • If you would like the screens to have separate content on (much like an office setup), select the Extend option either by pressing P whilst still holding down the windows key, or release both after 1 second and use the mouse to select it. The screen and projector may go dark for a moment whilst the computer adjusts. You should also ensure the Presenter's Monitor Option on the Extron touchpanel is set to Show Trust PC if you do not want this screen to change when switching to a different input on the projector such as a laptop or tablet.

Using The Right Screen As a Confidence Monitor

The right screen on the lectern can also be used as a confidence monitor, allowing you to view what the audience sees without turning around. This works regardless of whether you use the Trust PC or another device such as a tablet or laptop.

  •  In order to use this feature, select the Presenter's Monitor option on the Extron Touchpanel and choose the Same As Projector option.
