In both Windows 7 and Windows 10 it's possible to be logged into multiple accounts at once and change between them effectively without having to wait for the previous user to log off. How you can access this depends on the operating system you're running.
Windows 7
There are three ways to switch user in Windows 7, depending on preference and the state of the computer at the time you need to log in.
- When the PC is locked on PCs with the Imprivata login screen showing, press the Esc key on your keyboard and select Other User from the options that appear.
- When in an active session, press the start button or the Windows Key ( ) on your keyboard, hover over the arrow next to Log Off and select Switch User from the menu that appears.
- Hold down the Ctrl and Alt on your keyboard and press Delete. Select Switch User from the options that appear
Windows 10
There are three ways to switch user in Windows 10, depending on preference and the state of the computer at the time you need to log in.
- When the PC is locked on PCs with the Imprivata login screen showing, press the Esc key on your keyboard and select Switch User from the bottom left corner of the screen.
- When in an active session, press the start button or the Windows Key ( ) on your keyboard, click on the icon and select Switch Account from the menu that appears.
- Hold down the Ctrl and Alt on your keyboard and press Delete. Select Switch User from the options that appear
