On occasion in the training rooms the Trust PCs may display at a slightly different resolution than what you are used to. This can be caused by a number of factors from human adjustments to a change in configuration on the computer or even through digital technologies such as EDID. If you're struggling, here's a few things to check:

  • Have you restarted the PC? - A tried and tested solution for resolving Windows based issues the "off and on again" approach may resolve the resolution issue you're having.
  • For AV System Users: Have you tried switching between inputs? - Perhaps the projector misunderstood your input source. Changing to another type of source (such as RCA) will cause the projector to "reset" it's settings and pick up the right information from the computer.
  • Are your Screen Settings Correct? - These settings are only to be changed if there is an issue across the Trust PC experience (rather than just your presentation not showing correctly). Right click on the destkop and select Screen Resolution. Ensure the correct screen is selected in the top section of the box that appears (if you're on a projected or TV mounted setup, there should only be one option). In the resolution dropdown menu, ensure one of the following is selected. 4:3 screens are a square shape, whilst 16:9 or 16:10 are widescreen.
    • 1024 x 768 (4:3)
    • 1280 x 1024 (4:3)
    • 1280 x 720 (16:9)
    • 1920 x 1080 (16:9)
  • Are your screens set up correctly? - The arrangement of the screens may be left behind by a previous presenter that may have used Presenter View. As a result of this you will have your regular desktop on one screen and a blank Trust background on the other. This can easily be resolved by holding down the Windows (  or   ) key on the keyboard and press the letter "P" once. A menu should appear:

    • Select the Duplicate Option either by pressing P whilst still holding down the windows key, or release both after 1 second and use the mouse to select it. The screen may go dark for a moment whilst the computer adjusts.
