When you start employment with the Trust, you will be issued with a username and password from IT that will allow you access to a number of systems. This main one is centered around access to the Trust PCs running Windows 7 Enterprise around the Trust, but through a technology known as "Active Directory" (or AD) also allows you single sign on access to a number of other services. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • The Canon Managed Print Service set up on 100+ networked printers and photocopiers around the Trust.
  • Outlook Web Access, available through the intranet at Royal Preston Hospital, Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital, Preston Business Centre and Lingmell House in Chorley and through an authorised link for Kendal and Barrow located users.
  • The Trust eLearning site (sometimes referred to as the Blended Learning site).
  • Skype for Business & Microsoft Teams users
  • Yammer
  • The Evolve Web Application

Personal usernames given out since 2015 are in the format of forename.surname (example: john.smith) , whilst prior ones will begin with the first 4 letters of your firstname, a middle initial/an x and a number (example: johnx123).

If you need your password resetting for any of these services, please use the Forgot Password? link on any Trust PC with an Imprivata OneSign® login screen (centre image above) or alternatively call the IT Service Desk on 01772 522185 and have your ID badge number ready. Alternatively, you can email the IT Service Desk from another account at ITServiceDesk@lthtr.nhs.uk and include a contact number if required for identification purposes.

It is worth noting that you may have you create a new password after resetting on any Trust PC before you can continue to use any of the above services.
